New secretary general at the European Container Glass Federation

FEVE – the European Container Glass Federation announces the appointment of Adeline Farrelly as the new Secretary General. She takes over from Andrew Somogyi who has retired after 16 years with the association.
Adeline Farrelly (44), an Irish national, brings a wide experience of EU politics, communications and public affairs to the association. For the last 7 years she has been the Communications Director for EuropaBio – the European biotechnology industry association in Brussels and has held positions in both the European Commission and European Parliament. The appointment comes as the FEVE Board is actively reviewing and positioning the glass packaging industry. Dominique Tombeur, President of FEVE, says: “We very much welcome Adeline Farrelly whose background and experience will enable FEVE to build more direct interaction and visibility for the glass packaging industry here in Brussels.”
