The demand will be strong for bottles, accounting for one-third of the value market, especially driven by pill dispensers. The most popular formats are then blisters, vials and ampoules, pulled by HDPE (high density polyethylene) and LDPE (low density polyethylene). In addition, new growth opportunities are to be seized by pharmaceutical packaging manufacturers in China, India and APEJ economies over the next few years, primarily through outsourcing to third-party distributors.
