GERMANY: Reusable TPE lids for take out coffees

The take-away sector will no longer be able to sell single-use products (straws, cotton swabs, stirrers, tableware and disposable cups) from July 3, 2021.

To facilitate the transition, the start-up Cadios designed the first reusable lid for take-out coffees: “Udo” is made in Germany with a climate neutral balance. TPE can be reintegrated into the technical production cycle (in-process recycling). The choice fell on the halogen-free Thermoplast K material, a compound from the Kraiburg TPE portfolio. Very robust and with a soft-touch surface, it is suitable for everyday products.
