The benefits of 7C flexo printing

Südpack is continuing to develop more sustainable printing technologies with its 7C flexo process, integrated into its SPQ approach, for Sustainable Print Quality.
This standardized method expands the classic CMYK palette (cyan, magenta, yellow and black) with three additional colors: orange, green and violet. It enables more than 85% of shades to be reproduced automatically within an expanded color space, while reducing the need for Pantone and special colors. According to Südpack, 7C delivers consistent print quality across print runs, sites and countries, while improving process stability. By limiting variability, it reduces changeover times, adjustments, ink and film waste, as well as solvent and energy consumption. A certified LCA indicates that SPQ can reduce CO2 emissions by up to 18% compared with conventional flexo printing. The technology also makes it easier to manage short runs and packaging variants, without requiring the customer to be present for print approvals.
