NJM, a brand of the ProMach group, announces the launch of a vial and syringe labeller, called Courser 230. Equipped with a star wheel for better handling, this compact labeller can be designed for vials, syringes, and other small or complex packages.

This solution is suitable for small series production needs, both for pharmaceutical manufacturers, packers and pharmacies. Especially since it is adapted to an agile structure, maximizing the versatility of production and accelerating format changeover, while saving floor space (3m x 1.7m). The labeller can be designed with a manual input and output or integrated into a fully automated line to meet the needs of each application. It reaches speeds of up to 250 vials per minute or 200 syringes per minute, for example. Suitable for transparent, opaque, plastic, metal or paper labels, Courser achieves a label placement accuracy of 1 mm, and can be changed to handle a new type of packaging in 10 to 15 minutes, without the need for tools. The machine can be installed in line or as a stand-alone system. In line, it relies on conveyors with lateral transfers to handle the vials, and on a motorized rail to handle the syringes. For stand-alone operation, it can be configured with manual loading and unloading of trays. NJM also offers to equip Courser with an optional thermal transfer or laser printer, to print variable data, including serialized data on pre-printed or blank labels. An optional label location printing inspection system also identifies packages that are missing labels and triggers a downstream rejection device. The machine is made of stainless steel and anodized aluminum, and complies with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
