The supplier of film packaging solutions for food and medical products has appointed a new management spokesperson: as of 9th September 2019, Erik Bouts will take over from the previous spokesperson and managing partner, Johannes Remmele.
Erik Bouts worked for the world’s leading producer of glass containers, Owens-Illinois, where he was responsible for, among other things, 35 sites and 8,000 employees. He then moved to the Ball Corporation, which manufactures beverage containers, where he managed 75 sites with 12,000 employees around the globe. Most recently, he was CEO for the industrial paper packaging division at the Mondi Group, where he was responsible for 60 locations worldwide. He will be in charge to push the internationalization of the Südpack business forward and to conquer new markets.
From September, Johannes Remmele will gradually step back from operational management. However, as a member of the advisory board, he will retain close ties with the company, and support the management in the company’s strategic expansion. Erik Bouts will jointly manage the Südpack Group together with Carolin Grimbacher and Tharcisse Carl.
