While the pandemic is having a downward impact on sales, it is being offset by consumer interest in flexible packaging, with attractive and practical design. Fresh produce packaging is expected to exceed market value of $ 1.9 billion by 2030. With an increasing trend for meat, poultry, seafood, dairy and fresh produce packaging applications, related to the potential for protection against microorganisms. In parallel, polyethylene terephthalate (PET) films will account for 33% of market value by 2030. Reclosable multilayer films are expected to grow at a CAGR of 3.2%, overtaking single-layer films by the end of 2020.
