Cartonpack Group has completed the acquisition of a majority stake in FIMAT

Cartonpack Group, a provider of multi-material food packaging, announces that it has completed the acquisition of a majority stake in FIMAT, a producer of cardboard packaging for food end markets.

Located in Boffalora sopra Ticino (MI), FIMAT will further expand the Group’s portfolio of fiber-based packaging solutions as well as its industrial footprint in Northern Italy, where the Group has exhibited strong growth, fostering a presence in the French and German markets. FIMAT will continue to be run by the Fornaroli family and maintain the high product quality and service standards that underpin its reputation.

For Cartonpack Group it’s a further development that enriches the portfolio of companies, consolidating its expansion in the European food packaging market after a series of successful acquisitions started in 2020. Today, driven by A&M Capital Europe investment fund – AMCE and the founding family the Group – pro-forma as of 2024 – has reached a turnover of €200m.

The strategic union of FIMAT and Carton Pack unleashes powerful synergies, amplifying benefits for both companies and their customers. By uniting their extensive manufacturing and commercial resources alongside deep technical expertise, these industry leaders are set to redefine packaging solutions specifically focused both on the fruit and vegetable and the food sectors.
