The Optima Packaging Group – German expert in advanced filling and packaging solutions – delivered a record-breaking performance in 2024, generating 800 million euros in revenue – a 20% increase – and expanding its global workforce to 3,400 employees. As a family-owned company, Optima is accelerating its international expansion.
In the pharmaceutical sector, demand remains particularly high for turnkey filling and packaging systems, especially those incorporating isolators and lyophilizers. Optima is responding by expanding capacities at key sites, supported by new locations and additional skilled personnel worldwide. The Consumer segment has also grown substantially, driven by rising demand for the development of sustainable product- and packaging-solutions. After some challenging years, packaging technology for hygiene products has recovered significantly. This has once again made it possible to implement innovations and exciting development projects.

Optima has significantly strengthened its presence in the United States by hiring more than 60 new employees at the locations in Green Bay, Raleigh and the new facility in Puerto Rico. An additional Midwest location is planned for 2025. These steps are part of a long-term strategy to improve response times and provide localized expert services. In line with its commitment to developing top talent, Optima has launched a new state-of-the-art training center at its headquarters in Schwaebisch Hall — one of the largest facilities of its kind in the region. In addition, the company has expanded its training programs for customers and new employees, ensuring the specialized expertise required to construct and operate its high-tech systems.
Despite ongoing global economic uncertainties, Optima remains optimistic for 2025. The company progresses through with a strong order backlog, robust international teams, and a clear focus on flexibility, customer success, and strategic investments.
