Baralan and Istituto Marangoni Milano join forces to train the next generation of cosmetic packaging talent

Baralan and Istituto Marangoni announce an exclusive collaboration dedicated to educating the next generation of professionals in the beauty packaging industry, with the aim of bringing students closer to the real dynamics of the cosmetic packaging sector and fostering direct dialogue between academia and industry. The partnership involves students from Istituto Marangoni’s Master’s and Bachelor’s programmes, giving them the opportunity to explore the relationship between creativity, innovation, functionality and brand identity.
Launched in the 2025–2026 academic year as part of Istituto Marangoni Milano’s Master in Marketing & Communication for Fragrances & Cosmetics, the collaboration marks the Institute’s first exclusive partnership with a company specializing in cosmetic packaging. The initiative continues into the new academic year, engaging third-year students of the Bachelor in Fragrances & Cosmetics Product & Communication as part of their Packaging Design course. As part of the collaboration, Baralan makes its expertise in primary packaging for the beauty industry available to students, guiding them through the different stages that lead from the development of a concept to the creation of a concrete solution.
This belief is the foundation of the program developed by Baralan together with Istituto Marangoni Milano: a collaboration designed to create a bridge between education and industry, giving students the opportunity to engage with real sector challenges while, at the same time, allowing the company to open itself up to new perspectives, sensitivities and design approaches.
On the one hand, Istituto Marangoni Milano, which has consolidated its educational offering in the areas of management and beauty, confirms an educational model that has always been based on direct engagement with the market and collaboration with leading industry players. On the other hand, for Baralan, investing in young people means investing in the future of the entire sector.
For more than sixty years, the company has supported the evolution of cosmetic packaging through research, innovation and technological development.
Throughout the year, students will take part in lectures, company presentations and direct discussions with Baralan professionals. The starting point will be a brief developed by the company around a real industry challenge, inviting students to create a packaging concept capable of combining creativity and feasibility while interpreting Baralan’s values — innovation, sustainability and inclusivity — in light of the market’s evolving needs. Students will therefore have the opportunity to engage with real industry requirements and dynamics, transforming their creative and design skills into proposals capable of responding to the contemporary challenges of the beauty market.
Through this project, packaging becomes a learning tool. Students experience the working methods of a real company, dealing with concrete processes, constraints and objectives; at the same time, Baralan comes into contact with new ideas and emerging design languages, creating an exchange that enriches both parties.
