A true plastic-free packaging solution

Food packaging coating based on algae and plant extracts, Notpla Coating, has been recognized as “plastic-free” by the Dutch government, the strictest country in implementing the European plastics directive to Disposable.

Eunomia Research & Consulting has also assessed it as a natural polymer that has not been chemically modified, complies with the EU directive and is plastic-free. Notpla’s coated packaging will therefore be exempt from upcoming bans and taxes on disposable plastic food packaging in all European countries. And in the Netherlands, it is the only plastic-free technology approved to date.
