Crown inaugurates first beverage can manufacturing facility in India

Crown Holdings celebrated on September 9, 2026 the groundbreaking of its first beverage can manufacturing facility in India. The ceremony brought together Crown leaders, local government representatives, customers and guests to commemorate the start of construction on the new facility in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh.
Announced in April 2026, the state-of-the-art plant will feature two production lines with an annual capacity of approximately 2.2 billion aluminum beverage cans. Operations are scheduled to commence in the second half of 2027.

The Unnao facility will combine advanced manufacturing technology, operational excellence and responsible resource management to support our customers’ growth while creating long-term value for the region. »
Designed to incorporate advanced manufacturing technologies and the highest quality and sustainability standards, the facility will support growing demand for aluminum beverage cans across both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage categories. The investment reinforces the Company’s commitment to serving customers in high-growth markets and reflects the strong partnership Crown has established with the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
The Company continues to expect full year capital expenditures of approximately $550 million.
