posted Friday 07 April 2023

At Interpack 2023, Mitsubishi HiTec Paper will be presenting its full range of barricote® barrier papers for flexible food and non-food packaging, as well as the new PACK 75, a heat-sealable paper for primary and secondary packaging.

Barricote barrier papers are purely paper-based and fully recyclable in the wastepaper cycle. With combinable barriers against water vapour, grease/oil, oxygen/aroma and mineral oil migration, barricote offers precise protection for the packaged goods. The papers are distinguished by a high proportion of biodegradable ingredients and are at the same time 100% free of plastic films, extruded films, laminates and fluorocarbons. Regardless of whether it is used as a bag, wrapping paper or lining paper – barricote protects packaged goods and buyers sustainably and safely.

New: The optimised barricote BAG WG with 49 g/m². With enhanced barriers against water vapour and grease (KIT level 12) as well as improved heat-sealing capabilities, it is the ideal alternative for horizontal and vertical flowpack packaging of dry and greasy goods.

Other innovation: PACK 75 for sustainable packaging of toys and other small parts. The 75g paper offers particularly good heat-sealability and is therefore especially suitable for pouch packaging. PACK 75 is available FSC® and PEFC™ certified and is the ideal alternative to previous plastic packaging.
