{"id":21855,"date":"2020-01-27T09:32:12","date_gmt":"2020-01-27T09:32:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.emballagedigest.fr\/?p=21855"},"modified":"2020-01-27T09:32:12","modified_gmt":"2020-01-27T09:32:12","slug":"carbiolice-accelere-la-compostabilite-du-pla","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.emballagedigest.fr\/en\/carbiolice-accelere-la-compostabilite-du-pla\/","title":{"rendered":"Carbiolice acc\u00e9l\u00e8re la compostabilit\u00e9 du PLA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Emanation d\u2019une recherche collaborative, soutenue par BPI, entre Limagrain Ingr\u00e9dients et Carbios, la joint-venture Carbiolice planche depuis sa cr\u00e9ation en 2016 \u00e0 la mise au point d\u2019un produit enzymatique capable de rendre les bioplastiques, comme le PLA (acide polylactique), totalement compostables \u00e0 domicile.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abC\u2019est une premi\u00e8re technologique&nbsp;: nous avons r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 trouver \u2013 avec notre partenaire Novozymes \u2013 le bon catalyseur, qui, dans des conditions sp\u00e9cifiques de temp\u00e9rature, de pH, d\u2019humidit\u00e9 et en pr\u00e9sence de certains microorganismes, va acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer le processus de d\u00e9gradation naturelle de ces bioplastiques en conditions de compost domestique. Mais restera inerte dans l\u2019emballage si ces param\u00e8tres ne sont pas r\u00e9unis, afin de pr\u00e9server l\u2019int\u00e9grit\u00e9 du produit emball\u00e9\u00bb, explique Nadia Auclair, pr\u00e9sidente de Carbiolice. Et les r\u00e9sultats sont prometteurs&nbsp;: cette enzyme permet ainsi de d\u00e9grader un film \u00e0 30% de PLA en 200 jours en home compost \u00e0 des temp\u00e9ratures comprises en 15 et 25\u00b0C.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abC\u2019\u00e9tait l\u00e0 tout le challenge. S\u2019affranchir des contraintes du compost industriel, qui requiert des temp\u00e9ratures \u00e9lev\u00e9es pour activer le process de d\u00e9gradation\u00bb, pr\u00e9cise Nadia Auclair. Ajout\u00e9 \u00e0 moins de 5%, ce nouvel additif (PLA+ enzyme) propos\u00e9 par la joint-venture sous forme de granul\u00e9s, a \u00e9t\u00e9 test\u00e9 en conditions industrielles.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abIl peut \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 en thermoformage ou en extrusion-gonflage, sur des lignes d\u00e9j\u00e0 existantes, c\u2019\u00e9tait un pr\u00e9requis essentiel. Ce PLA additiv\u00e9 aura un surco\u00fbt (entre 3 et 3,5 euros le kilo, contre 2 \u00e0 2,5 euros pour un PLA classique), mais nous devions faire en sorte qu\u2019il s\u2019adapte facilement aux outils de production plastiques, sans avoir besoin d\u2019investissement suppl\u00e9mentaire\u00bb, ajoute la pr\u00e9sidente de Carbiolice. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.emballagedigest.fr\/dotclear\/images\/2020\/BONUS\/janv\/carbiolice_article2.jpg\" alt=\"Texte Alternatif\" style=\"float:right; margin: 0 0 1em 1em;\" \/>Si cette premi\u00e8re g\u00e9n\u00e9ration enzymatique ne fonctionne pour l\u2019instant que dans des films ou des plaques multicouches en PLA, l\u2019objectif est dans un second temps d\u2019augmenter la performance du catalyseur en termes de rapidit\u00e9 de d\u00e9gradation pour de plus fortes \u00e9paisseurs de produits (1 \u00e0 2 mm contre 500 microns \u00e0 l\u2019heure actuelle). Carbiolice esp\u00e8re ainsi obtenir tr\u00e8s rapidement l\u2019agr\u00e9ment pour que son mat\u00e9riau biotech re\u00e7oive la qualification \u00abfood contact\u00bb, et passer \u00e0 la vitesse sup\u00e9rieure en transposant sa technologie \u00e0 d\u2019autres mat\u00e9riaux.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abAvec le PLA, le travail \u00e9tait finalement assez simple car nous ne faisons qu\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer une r\u00e9action physico-chimique naturelle. Avec d\u2019autres plastiques comme le PE ou le PP, qui ne se biod\u00e9gradent pas d\u2019eux-m\u00eames, il faut trouver une autre enzyme qui sera capable d\u2019enclencher le processus\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>La jeune start-up, bas\u00e9e \u00e0 Riom en Auvergne, d\u00e9sign\u00e9e \u00abbiotech la plus innovante d\u2019Europe\u00bb par le Prix 2019 d\u2019Europa Bio, pr\u00e9sentera sa technologie brevet\u00e9e au prochain Change Now Summit, du 30 janvier au 1e f\u00e9vrier au Grand Palais \u00e0 Paris, avant de lancer la commercialisation de cet additif pour un PLA nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration.<br \/>\nCarbiolice esp\u00e8re ainsi lutter contre les plastiques \u00e0 usage unique dont seulement 9% sont aujourd\u2019hui recycl\u00e9s. Et s\u00e9duire les march\u00e9s europ\u00e9en et am\u00e9ricain. \u00abLa situation est plus compliqu\u00e9e en France avec la nouvelle loi \u00e9conomie circulaire qui l\u00e8ve l\u2019exemption qui avait \u00e9t\u00e9 faite sur les plastiques compostables, soutenus dans le cadre de la loi de transition \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique. Ce qui remet en cause tous les financements R&amp;D qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 faits ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es pour favoriser ces proc\u00e9d\u00e9s en ce sens et risque de freiner les investissements des industriels vers ces solutions\u00bb, s\u2019inqui\u00e8te Nadia Auclair, qui veut pourtant rester confiante. \u00abLe rapport lanc\u00e9 dans le cadre de ce projet de loi permettra de rappeler la r\u00e9ponse qu\u2019apporte ces mat\u00e9riaux. Notre r\u00f4le va \u00eatre de promouvoir l\u2019existence de cette nouvelle solution, 100% efficace, sans r\u00e9sidus ni toxicit\u00e9 pour les sols et de participer \u00e0 la naissance d\u2019une nouvelle fili\u00e8re, celle du plastique compostable\u00bb.
