SRL (Soprad). Based in Milan, Italy, the company is a global provider of temporary protective films. Going forward, Soprad\u2019s products will be marketed under the Pregis\u2019 PolyMask brand and will further reinforce its offerings to a growing global market (PolyMask products include temporary surface protection films and specialty films).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSoprad has a 40-year track record of supplying performance-oriented adhesive protective films for a variety of surfaces including metal, plastic, glass and carpet. Its robust European customer base provides an ideal foundation from which to expand the availability of our existing temporary adhesive film products,\u201d said Kevin Baudhuin, president and chief executive officer. \u201cThe acquisition strengthens Pregis\u2019 position as a leading global producer of surface protection films. The acquisition also creates an opportunity to share best practices and increase our manufacturing capacity so that we can support future market needs,\u201d Baudhuin said.<\/p>\n<p>The Soprad acquisition is the first acquisition under Pregis\u2019 new private equity owner, Warburg Pincus. This is the latest example of Pregis\u2019 continued investment in the European marketplace.
