The Japanese supplier Meiyume launches its patented Smart Refill System, the company\u2019s answer to the consumer need of sustainability.<\/p>\n
The brand introduces a thick jar with a minimalist PP inner cup with a removable top seal can be changed and replaced, with the purpose to save plastic. Both parts are recyclable, but they can also be made from PCR. Consumers can replenish their product easily and quickly with a push-and-release of the inner capsule, whilst the outer jar is practically made to retain its high quality despite long time use. Meiyume declares that the sustainable impact of this refill system can be significant: one smart refill jar and capsule with two refill is already a 52% plastic weight reduction, when compared to using three regular jars.<\/p>\n
