{"id":22841,"date":"2021-03-12T07:20:48","date_gmt":"2021-03-12T07:20:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.emballagedigest.fr\/?p=22841"},"modified":"2021-03-12T07:20:48","modified_gmt":"2021-03-12T07:20:48","slug":"lancement-a-grande-echelle-d-un-emballage-derive-de-champignons","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.emballagedigest.fr\/en\/lancement-a-grande-echelle-d-un-emballage-derive-de-champignons\/","title":{"rendered":"Lancement \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle d\u2019un emballage d\u00e9riv\u00e9 de champignons"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>La start-up britannique Magical Mushroom Company (MMC) annonce le lancement de la production \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle de son emballage biod\u00e9gradable d\u00e9riv\u00e9 de champignons, une alternative sans plastique destin\u00e9e \u00e0 se d\u00e9composer dans un compost domestique ou un parterre de fleurs.<\/p>\n<p>Ce nouvel emballage offre les m\u00eames performances \u2013 \u00e0 co\u00fbt comparable \u2013 que le polystyr\u00e8ne traditionnel, et est d\u00e9j\u00e0 utilis\u00e9 dans le cadre d\u2019une large vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de produits, prot\u00e9geant du mat\u00e9riel pour la cuisine, des cosm\u00e9tiques, ainsi que de nombreux produits de consommation courante, comme les bouteilles de gin sans alcool Seedlip de la marque Diageo. <\/p>\n<p>Cet emballage repose sur le composite de myc\u00e9lium, une technologie d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e et brevet\u00e9e par la firme am\u00e9ricaine Ecovative Design LLC. Le proc\u00e9d\u00e9 utilise les d\u00e9chets post-transformation issus de produits agricoles \u2013 chanvre, houblon, ma\u00efs et bois de construction \u2013 et les associe \u00e0 du myc\u00e9lium, l\u2019appareil v\u00e9g\u00e9tatif du champignon. Cette mati\u00e8re vivante est ensuite fa\u00e7onn\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019aide de moules 3D en fonction de l\u2019emballage souhait\u00e9. Ces moules sont cuits, ce qui permet de durcir la mati\u00e8re et d\u2019emp\u00eacher toute croissance ult\u00e9rieure. Le proc\u00e9d\u00e9 entier, de la conception au prototype, n\u00e9cessite 14 jours. <\/p>\n<p>MMC d\u00e9tient la licence exclusive pour la production de l\u2019emballage Mushroom\u00ae Packaging dans l\u2019Union europ\u00e9enne, au Royaume-Uni et en Irlande. Sa premi\u00e8re usine, implant\u00e9e \u00e0 Esher, dans le comt\u00e9 du Surrey au Royaume-Uni, a d\u00e9but\u00e9 la production en ao\u00fbt 2020, avec une capacit\u00e9 pouvant atteindre plus d\u2019un million d\u2019emballages par an. <\/p>\n<p>L\u2019entreprise pr\u00e9voit d\u2019ouvrir un deuxi\u00e8me site britannique en 2021, ce qui lui permettra de passer \u00e0 une production totale annuelle de plus de trois millions d\u2019unit\u00e9s. D\u2019autres usines suivront en Bulgarie et en Italie, portant la capacit\u00e9 de production pour l\u2019Union europ\u00e9enne \u00e0 plus de six millions d\u2019unit\u00e9s par an.
