Les marques, ainsi que les fabricants de packaging, ont bien \u00e9videmment suivi ces \u00e9volutions. N\u00e9anmoins, c\u2019est un challenge de r\u00e9ussir \u00e0 faire co\u00efncider les b\u00e9n\u00e9fices\/contraintes avec les nouvelles attentes des (e-)consommateurs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A chaque acteur ses besoins !<\/strong><br \/>\nPour le (e-)consommateur&nbsp;: il faut que l\u2019emballage soit joli, solide mais le plus \u00e9co-responsable possible, sans hausse de prix.<br \/>\nPour la marque&nbsp;: il faut que le produit arrive intact, donc que les emballages primaires et secondaires soient solides (un article pouvant \u00eatre manipul\u00e9 plus de 20 fois avant sa mise sous carton), qu\u2019ils prennent le moins de place possible (pour r\u00e9duire ses co\u00fbts de transport), qu\u2019ils soient visibles (attractifs et informatifs) et plus \u00e9co-responsables (moins d\u2019emballages secondaires et tertiaires).<\/p>\n<p>Ainsi, pour r\u00e9pondre aux nouveaux besoins des (e-)consommateurs, les industriels \u00e9tudient plusieurs pistes :<br \/>\n\u2022 la modification des mat\u00e9riaux utilis\u00e9s,<br \/>\n\u2022 la r\u00e9duction des mat\u00e9riaux,<br \/>\n\u2022 l\u2019utilisation de nouveaux mat\u00e9riaux,<br \/>\n\u2022 le design de nouveaux emballages.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Trouver le bon \u00ab&nbsp;match \u00bb<\/strong><br \/>\nLa contrainte majeure r\u00e9side dans le fait que tous les composants sont li\u00e9s entre eux. La moindre modification de l\u2019un d\u2019eux, comme le changement de mat\u00e9riau, a un impact direct sur les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s intrins\u00e8ques de celui-ci (rigidit\u00e9, perm\u00e9abilit\u00e9, r\u00e9sistance\u2026) ainsi que sur celles des autres composants (abrasion, maintien\u2026). R\u00e9duire l\u2019\u00e9paisseur des mat\u00e9riaux implique de trouver la limite \u00e0 ne pas d\u00e9passer pour conserver les bonnes propri\u00e9t\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>Changer de mat\u00e9riau n\u00e9cessite de ma\u00eetriser l\u2019impact de celui-ci vis-\u00e0-vis du produit et de la r\u00e9glementation. Enfin, il faut prendre en compte les contraintes li\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019industrialisation du process. Trouver un subtil m\u00e9lange permettant de conserver l\u2019ensemble des propri\u00e9t\u00e9s. L\u2019industriel devra donc y aller pas \u00e0 pas en priorisant les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s \u00e0 privil\u00e9gier.<\/p>\n<p>C\u2019est l\u00e0 qu\u2019interviennent les experts du testing. Trois grandes approches sont pratiqu\u00e9es :<br \/>\n\u2022 la caract\u00e9risation des mat\u00e9riaux et la comparaison des diff\u00e9rentes propri\u00e9t\u00e9s physiques et m\u00e9caniques \u2013 ex&nbsp;: d\u00e9termination de la composition des mat\u00e9riaux par analyses chimiques, \u00e9paisseur\u2026,<br \/>\n\u2022 la v\u00e9rification des propri\u00e9t\u00e9s des emballages \u2013 ex&nbsp;: perm\u00e9abilit\u00e9, r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 la traction, flexion\u2026,<br \/>\n\u2022 la mise \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9preuve des diff\u00e9rentes solutions \u2013 ex&nbsp;: abrasion, glissabilit\u00e9\u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong>Les secrets de la marche \u00e0 suivre<\/strong><br \/>\nPremi\u00e8re \u00e9tape, les experts travaillent sur le mat\u00e9riau de l\u2019emballage primaire pour le caract\u00e9riser selon les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s primordiales d\u00e9sir\u00e9es&nbsp;: perm\u00e9abilit\u00e9, biod\u00e9gradabilit\u00e9, r\u00e9sistance, all\u00e9gations marketing&#8230;<br \/>\nUne fois les diff\u00e9rentes solutions isol\u00e9es, la seconde \u00e9tape consiste \u00e0 d\u00e9terminer le comportement de chacune vis-\u00e0-vis du produit \u2013 ex&nbsp;: pas d\u2019interactions, pas de jaunissement\u2026<br \/>\nLe d\u00e9veloppement de l\u2019emballage secondaire et tertiaire d\u00e9coulera de la solution choisie et donc de ses propri\u00e9t\u00e9s mais aussi du canal de commercialisation souhait\u00e9&nbsp;: point de vente traditionnel, multicanal, vente en ligne\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Enfin, redesigner l\u2019emballage&nbsp;; le design permet d\u2019optimiser les volumes (pour minimiser l\u2019espace) mais aussi de le rendre plus robuste en modifiant certains param\u00e8tres ou certains calages.
