De nouvelles cat\u00e9gories \u2013 comme le vin ou les eaux p\u00e9tillantes faiblement alcoolis\u00e9es \u2013 sont prometteuses et donnent une autre visibilit\u00e9 \u00e0 la canette.<\/p>\n<p>En Europe, la France n\u2019est pas le plus gros consommateur de canettes, mais le march\u00e9 se porte bien. \u00abOn constate une d\u00e9saffection des marques pour les emballages en plastique. Certaines r\u00e9orientent leur portefeuille. L\u2019aspect protection de la canette joue en sa faveur, notamment pour de nouvelles cat\u00e9gories de produits&nbsp;: elle offre, en effet, une longue dur\u00e9e de vie, avec 12 mois de conservation. Par ailleurs, avec la baisse de la consommation hors domicile, l\u2019achat de canettes s\u2019est r\u00e9orient\u00e9 vers la distribution, qui repr\u00e9sente 2\/3 du march\u00e9\u00bb, analyse Philippe Vanhelst, responsable des ventes France et Italie pour Ardagh. La canette s\u00e9duit aussi les marques souhaitant se diff\u00e9rencier ou mettre en avant une dimension environnementale. Sur le premier semestre 2021, en GMS (un circuit qui concentre 70% des ventes de boites), le volume de canettes a augment\u00e9 de 8% (source IRI &#8211; voir encadr\u00e9 chiffres). \u00abIl est int\u00e9ressant de noter que la croissance des boites reste forte malgr\u00e9 la r\u00e9ouverture des restaurants. 20 \u00e0 25% sont vendues en consommation hors domicile\u00bb, remarque Sylvain Jungfer, d\u00e9l\u00e9gu\u00e9 g\u00e9n\u00e9ral du GIE La Bo\u00eete Boisson.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Les coulisses de cette croissance<\/strong><br \/>\nDiff\u00e9rentes raisons expliquent cette tendance de progression&nbsp;: \u00abcertains march\u00e9s, sur lesquels la boite est dominante, augmentent naturellement et tirent la demande, comme les boissons \u00e9nergisantes. De plus en plus de marques se lancent sur cette cat\u00e9gorie. Les sodas repartent depuis la pand\u00e9mie. On assiste, par ailleurs, au d\u00e9veloppement des bi\u00e8res de sp\u00e9cialit\u00e9, qui compl\u00e8tent les bouteilles en verre. Il y a aussi un transfert du plastique vers la boite boisson. Pr\u00e8s de 5 milliards de canettes sont vendues en France chaque ann\u00e9e. Une r\u00e9cente \u00e9tude men\u00e9e par le Cabinet M2SM pour le GIE estime m\u00eame le potentiel du march\u00e9 \u00e0 1 milliard de canettes suppl\u00e9mentaires vendues d\u2019ici 2025 \u2013 dont 700 millions issues de transfert du plastique, 230 millions de boissons \u00e9mergentes, et 80 millions de nouvelles boissons en canettes\u00bb, indique Sylvain Jungfer. Un succ\u00e8s qui impacte les capacit\u00e9s de remplissage, et pousse les clients et les fabricants de canettes \u00e0 investir pour augmenter leurs capacit\u00e9s.<br \/>\nEn France, le march\u00e9 de la canette se concentre \u00e0 70% sur des boissons \u00absoft\u00bb et \u00e0 30% sur les bi\u00e8res. \u00abOn constate beaucoup de lancements. La canette est per\u00e7ue de fa\u00e7on positive \u00e0 la fois par les consommateurs et les remplisseurs. Aujourd\u2019hui, les gens consomment diff\u00e9remment, ils choisissent des boissons moins sucr\u00e9es, moins alcoolis\u00e9es, et c\u2019est une tendance qui va rester. Les tailles des canettes offrent la possibilit\u00e9 de tester des produits diff\u00e9rents, sans acheter des litres entiers. Les grandes marques ne changent pas d\u2019emballages pour l\u2019instant, et le prix d\u2019une cannette reste \u00e9lev\u00e9 par rapport au plastique, mais si elles lancent une nouvelle boisson, elles iront vers la bo\u00eete\u00bb, remarque V\u00e9ronique Curulla, directrice du marketing et du d\u00e9veloppement commercial chez Crown Bevcan EMEA.<\/p>\n<p><strong>De multiples nouvelles cat\u00e9gories de boissons en canettes<\/strong><br \/>\nLes eaux \u2013 aromatis\u00e9es ou enrichies, les boissons bio, naturelles, les boissons lact\u00e9es, v\u00e9g\u00e9tales, ou encore les hard seltzers arrivent en force, au niveau de l\u2019offre. Les hard seltzers, des eaux p\u00e9tillantes faiblement alcoolis\u00e9es, sont tr\u00e8s pr\u00e9sentes aux Etats-Unis et commencent \u00e0 percer en Europe. <\/p>\n<p><em>Extrait de la revue n\u00b0 662 &#8211; Octobre 2021.
