Sur les plastiques \u00e9lastiques, comme le PVC souple ou le polyur\u00e9thane, mais \u00e9galement sur les thermoplastiques, comme le PC, le PE ou le PP et d\u2019autres plastiques non polaires, l\u2019activation au plasma permet de rendre le substrat polaire et d\u2019augmenter ainsi l\u2019\u00e9nergie de surface. Le r\u00e9sultat final pr\u00e9sente une adh\u00e9rence de l\u2019impression significativement plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e que sur les substrats non trait\u00e9s. L\u2019impression est caract\u00e9ris\u00e9e par une bien meilleure r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 l\u2019usure et \u00e0 l\u2019humidit\u00e9. Il s\u2019agit d\u2019un nano-rev\u00eatement fonctionnel et transparent qui n\u2019influence pas la transparence verre mais qui am\u00e9liore significativement l\u2019adh\u00e9rence, la r\u00e9sistance aux rayures et \u00e0 l\u2019humidit\u00e9 des peintures UV pour l\u2019impression num\u00e9rique. Les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s de surface obtenues sont optimales pour l\u2019utilisation de verre imprim\u00e9.
