Another innovative solution is the BioLoop Band, a PLA-Premium filament that replaces traditional twisted band closures. The BioLoop Band reduces material consumption by up to 55%, is shock and twist resistant, and compostable. Italy, a leader in compostable material regulations, aims to replace 90% of fossil plastics by 2045. Since 2018, the country has banned non-compostable plastic bags and encourages the use of sustainable bioplastics through tax incentives.
