Greiner Packaging and Cardbox Packaging worked on a recyclable spoon

Greiner Packaging and Cardbox Packaging included a 100% recyclable fold-out cardboard spoon in packaging for dairy and snacks products away from home.

This eco-friendly innovation made of renewable resources such as cardboard leads to cancel the use of a disposable plastic cutlery and is 100% recyclable in the paper recycling loop thanks to its virgin fibers and a waterbased coating. With a length of 10 cm and a smart folding style, the fold-out cardboard spoon has a shape and size that makes it easy to carry around. The spoon has been made to accompanied a top cup made of r-PET and polypropylene sealing film that can be fully removed from the lid, leading to a sustainable packaging with 100% recyclable components. Companies used inks with standards for food product, approving the cardboard spoon for contact with food. Customization is possible for brands, starting at a minimum order quantity.
