Hinojosa publishes its corporate social responsibility report

News 🇬🇧

publié le jeudi 30 septembre 2021

The Spanish family-owned packaging solutions group Hinojosa presents its Corporate Social Responsibility Report, « Our role in our environment ».

Entering the French market last January with the acquisition of Allard Emballages, a manufacturer of paper and corrugated packaging, the group reinforces its commitment to sustainable development and innovation. The company’s brief follows the international standard Global Reporting Initiative, as well as the European directive 2014/95/EU on the publication of non-financial information. The key points of the Spanish company’s brief include people, with a social dimension that reflects its commitment to having a highly committed, qualified team while guaranteeing the safety of its staff. In particular, Hinojosa has given impetus to measures to promote the development and professional integration of people at risk of social exclusion. The group has donated more than 14,000 masks and 23,500 cardboard boxes to facilitate the distribution of sanitary materials and basic necessities. Committed to the fight against climate change, the company demonstrates responsible use of natural resources: Hinojosa has obtained Zero Waste certification in some of its factories, with over 90% of waste being reused. Other initiatives include the installation of a photovoltaic solar power plant, electric charging stations or biomass and biogas boilers in its Spanish factories. In terms of innovation, Hinojosa wants to help its customers in their quest for eco-designed and environmentally friendly products, which is why the manufacturer has launched 360 Green Packaging, a new range of sustainable primary packaging that responds to the latest market trends.
