With the acquisition of an additional building, Optima pharma is creating more space at its Schwaebisch Hall site – an important step towards further growth and the efficient implementation of complex customer projects.

Optima Pharma has moved into a new building in the industrial park in Schwaebisch Hall. The CSPE III Centre, which covers around 4,800 square metres, has been equipped to meet the special requirements of pharmaceutical machine construction and offers additional capacity to produce state-of-the-art filling systems with isolators. The first machines will move into the new hall in May. “We have a strong order book for our state-of-the-art filling systems with isolators. These systems are becoming increasingly larger and more complex, with longer project lead times – which in turn means a continuously growing need for space,” explains Hans Buehler, Managing Partner of the Optima Group.

In addition to Schwaebisch Hall, two further construction projects in Germany are underway: In Radolfzell, a new assembly hall for state-of-the-art isolators and an administration building are being built. In Gladenbach, assembly capacities for freeze dryers are being expanded by 50% to meet rising demand. Together, state-of-the-art turnkey filling systems for the highest purity classes are being developed and implemented for use by pharmaceutical companies worldwide.

The investment in urgently needed infrastructure is part of a comprehensive package of measures that includes construction projects and the expansion of teams at all locations, including international sites. “Our capacity expansion serves the sole purpose of offering our customers complete reliability and thus making an important contribution to medical care worldwide,” emphasizes Dr. Johannes-Thomas Grobe, CEO of Optima Pharma.
