kp Infinity® Tavola™ brings heat retention and recyclability to pizza packaging

Klöckner Pentaplast (kp) is expanding its kp Infinity® foodservice portfolio with kp Infinity^® Tavola™, a recyclable pizza packaging solution designed to help pizzas stay hotter for longer while enhancing protection and presentation.

Launching in the UK and selected European markets from September 2026, kp Infinity^® Tavola™ has been developed to help quick-service restaurants (QSRs), pizzerias, and delivery-led brands address one of their biggest challenges: ensuring pizza reaches consumers in the same condition as when it left the oven. It offers a high-tech alternative to traditional cardboard pizza packaging, using a precisely engineered fully recyclable expanded polypropylene (EPP) structure to retain heat while keeping oil, grease, and food residue inside the pack.

Comparative testing demonstrated that kp Infinity^® Tavola™ kept pizzas up to 7.3°C hotter after five minutes compared with traditional alternatives. Even after an hour, it was still hotter. Each lightweight box offers increased robustness and product protection. The box consists of two identical interlocking parts, giving foodservice operators flexibility across dine-in, takeaway and delivery occasions. For takeaway and delivery, they combine to create a secure, lidded box while for dine-in operations, the box can be opened to support service and presentation

Available in a 12-inch format, kp Infinity^® Tavola™ is fully recyclable within appropriate polypropylene collection and recycling streams. Unlike cardboard pizza boxes, it does not absorb oil or allow cheese to stick to the pack, helping avoid food contamination that can complicate paper-based recycling, and helping operators navigate evolving sustainability requirements and recycling expectations.
