adapa Group, European expert of flexible packaging, is further strengthening its technological base with significant investments in state-of-the-art equipment across its European sites. In line with adapa’s growth strategy, several new machines – from extrusion to printing – are now in place and ready to support customers across Europe with high quality packaging solutions.

At its Kempten facility in Germany, adapa successfully commissioned two new shrink film extrusion lines from Macro Engineering. This strategic step enhances the site’s long-standing expertise in shrink packaging technology and expands its capacities for EVOH-based Designed for Recycling solutions, such as the WorldStar Packaging award 2022 winner VACUshrink(re) MEX 55, a PE-based shrink bag produced without cross-linking. One line is running at full speed, while the second one will start in January 2026.

In addition, adapa has invested in two new printing presses – one flexo and one roto line – from Uteco, now in operation. These advanced assets offer multiple technical advantages for customers: printing in up to 9 colours in high quality, options for both reverse and surface printing, full-width 100% visual inspection, as well as the application of special lacquers or coatings – also on paper substrates.

As part of a broader modernization program of the Group’s machine park, adapa is also reinforcing its converting capabilities with new slitter machines at its plants in Poland and the Netherlands.

« We are continuously investing in the modernization of our assets to ensure that we can offer our customers innovative, high-performing and Designed for Recycling packaging solutions. Our strategy is to build long-term partnerships based on robust technological capabilities. Such investments strengthen our ability to support customers reliably in the future and to open new opportunities for cooperation. These latest projects underline our commitment to growth and to maintaining our position as a leading European supplier of flexible packaging, » says Alena Maran, Head of Strategy and Marketing adapa Group.
