Lightweight and recyclable packaging for bakery and confectionery

At ExpoSweet in Warsaw, Poland, Coveris unveiled several innovative solutions. The recyclable HEAT packs made from composite fibre feature an ovenable “microwave carton” that allows hot foods to be merchandised, cooked, and consumed in the same pack.

The BarrierFresh MAP tray, made from sustainable board, reduces plastic usage by 90%. Hermetic and recyclable, it incorporates proprietary Freshlife® technology and an EVOH barrier structure for optimal product protection. Finally, MonoFlexFibre Pure Max is a paper-based monomaterial substrate for cereal, protein, and chocolate bars, offering excellent barrier properties, high print quality, and full recyclability.
